How to open a jar with your mouse

The next time you've got slippery hands and need to open a tightly sealed jar of garlic in the presence of your girlfriend, avoid diminishing your manliness with grunting, grimacing, and other ineffective jar-opening techniques. Rather, demonstrate your handiness with tools and physics by trying my Mouse Cord Torque Technique.

Instructions: Dry your hands and the lid of the jar with your shirt. Then, wrap the mouse cord around the lid of the jar in a counter-clockwise position. Grasp the base of the jar with your right hand, and the mouse cord with your left hand. The rubbery mouse cord provides enough friction to grip the lid while generating strong counter-clockwise torque. Pull your left hand gently but firmly towards you while pushing outwards with your right hand. You will hear a slight pop and hiss as the jar's internal vacuum is released.
