You can view the workshop presentation by clicking
here. The first half of the workshop used this Flash presentation
to teach the basic concepts of XML. The second half of the workshop
consists of hands-on examples with the source files. I didn't have
time to teach all of the Actionscript/XML techniques during the
workshop, but I hope you will find the included source files to
be educational and useful. I spent a long time developing the ultimate
Actionscript/XML workshop, so download these files and learn!
Check out the appendix of the presentation, where I've listed some
of the best XML educational resources on the web, as well as some
Flash 5 related documents.

OOP
Actionscript For Web Applications
In this session, Branden and Samuel team up to explore true Object-Oriented
Programming with Actionscript. One of the highlights of this presentation
is Branden's Actionscript Component Kit (ACK): an object-oriented
architecture tool that completely abstracts code from art, providing
developers with a way to write code that is re-usable in every way.
To demonstrate an extreme application of ACK, as well as some advanced
theories on Actionscript, Samuel also presents Token: the Web's
first interactive visual programming language for browsers, which
allows audience participants to "draw" logic for their
own virtual robot through a browser, and pit their robot against
multiple robots in an online rumble.
